So this woman was jailed for "adultery" because her rapist was married, and now to get out of jail, she needs to marry her attacker - who is her cousins husband... WTF?

holy cow, i'm speechless

in my old culture, not sure if still practiced today, you can literally kidnap a girl and take her to your home and she becomes your wife. you just take her by force and send a message to the parents that you've taken her and she has to marry you.

i have an aunt that this happened to. my dad was just a kid when it happened. he said my grandparents went farming that day and they came and literally dragged her away.

Some cultures i'll just never understand... especially ones like this...
