Ì finally got some high powered lighting to put on my PBass tank and all I have to say is wow... What a difference in color. The yellow and greens stick out so much now. I do have 1 question tho. What color substrate should I use to further enhance their colors? I took all the sand out and added a lot of driftwood to lower Ph. Tank how blue back round

glad i helped you with your lighting....;) now about this.... i would go with medium dark.....;) that way colors can still fluxuate;) rather than going DARK (black) reason... it can go both ways... they can turn a solid color of your liking:D....... or theyre just going to be a very DARK colored fish:D

So you mean like the natural gravel? Or is there something else. I wanted to do the med sized river rock look as a substrate but have no. Idea where to find them... I will post before and after pics when I get home

so heres a couple quick pics of the orinos coloring up finally under the new light :)

Thanks!

Yea I thought they might just haven't checked yet.

I would do as mjunior advised. As a suggestion I would go with black pebbels mixed with natural pebbels. I recently did this at mjuniorc advise and it worked wonder's. What light did you go with?
