Had my peacock bass just under a year now, i have no idea if he was wild or tank bread and hes currently around 14".

When i first had him he would eat anything ! He would have whitebait hanging out his mouth because he was so greedy stealing it off everything else. Pretty much over 2 days he stopped eating and has a small white speck on each eye. It looks like a very faint white graze, so fine i cant even get a picture of it. Ive noticed when its feeding time though he seems to be attacking the sand at the bottom almost like he can "smell" the food but cant see where it is exactly. He still swims around the tank and is acting normally other then at feeding time.

Has anyone heard/seen these signs before ? It doesnt look like cloudy eye which ive seen before in other cichlids and I gave him his first dose of dewormer last week hoping that might be what was causing it but hes still showing the same signs.

I will try get a picture or video tomorrow with an underwater camera to see if that can capture the white on his eye but in the meantime any advice would be appreciated.
