I thought i just put this out here before i start logging alot of how his behaving today he was on the bottom of the tank... really dark and he wasnt eating and moving... Some times he was tilting over on his side. Later tonight i found him swimming around at the top with his head pointing up.... just swimming around alot and still not taking any food.... The water was just cleaned... as in 60g removed and gravel vaced really good... the water is clear now.. before it was a little brown. The temp is 76ish. His housed with all other fish listed below. ill post up more once i watch him somemore..

Oh his really spazzy when another fish touches him... my koi tap his tail once n a while and he darts away. He also has a scrap on his head.. My friend said it might be cuz his house mates are really mean his spazzing over it lol.

Koi are aggressive where as bass are actually relatively peaceful. He's probably getting picked on.

Ya i can tell now... I think his really stressing out over the other tank mates. The sucker bumped into him today and he darted away. Might have to sell the other 4 fish.

I think i need a new test kit.... For some reason ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, are all 0ppm..... Iven in a big tank like this where i know nitrites are around... Ill take a gal in to test later today. but as many ppl have told me it might be from the other fish... This bass is a really hardy fish...His been in worst water ( :( ) for 5weeks. All the other fish are just fine and healthy.

Where can i find those big dividers? the good kind? Ill give him his on side tonight if i can find the right one. I cant move him tank cuz im missing my net and only have a 4inch one... XD and has anyone tried to hunt down a little fish in a big tank with a small net? not fun. Plus other tank is full of fry and smaller fish lol.

how did your bass do with bluegill? i had problem at first when i got the tank/bass putting in a channel cat and 2 bluegill..

RIP bass :( lost him when i was at work.... ph is 7.2 nitrate 10ppm ammonia .0-.25

All other fish are just fine... no problems found. Had him for a little over a year from when he was 3-4inch now his....Shoot time to dig him out of the trash and size him.... He just fit inside the 1gal bag.

sorry for your loss, i know how you feel

well when i first got my bass it had a sore on its side and it starting swimming funny so i put it in its own aquarium and then it stopped eating and then died two days later:(:(:( but it had no problems with the sunfish

You may want to start closely monitoring your pH and other parameters to make sure you're not having fluctuations or something.
Bass are usually pretty hardy, kind of odd that he died after a year. It could have just been a fluke, I've had fish die for absolutely no reason before, even when they seemed to be the picture of health, but it's best to be cautious.

I don't think even very low grade ammonia would have been an issue for that species, but what were your nitrites?
