I was fishing in a bayou with a cast net and i caught either a Spotted Bass or a Largemouth Bass. The Bass is currently 3 to 4 inches in length from tip of the mouth to tip of the fin. I want to raise it to its full size and eventually put it in a pond. i currently have it in a tank with a full grown betta they seem to be getting along. The bass hides from wheneveri get close to the tank, im thinkng of putting in a 10 gallon tank with the betta. Can anyone give me any advice on:
Temperature.
Food.
Substrate.
Decorations if needed.
Tank mates( i want to put a small catfish in there )
Lighting.
ill post pictures as soon as i find my phone, thank you for the help

Well from what i know about bass i cant really tell if its a small or large mouth but temp should be around 72-82. Try feeding pellets or bloodworms but if they dont work then try feeders. I think a catfish would be fine but it needs a big tank.

its only 4 inches right now, the bass ive had for 2 days and the betta is doing perfectly fine no scratches or signs of any fin damage or scale damage. for now the bass is small enough to not be a threat.

bump
the bass does not seem to be eating at all, but it doesnt look like its starving and the betta doesnt have any bruises on it so. yea and it doesnt go after the pellets
