Bass still not eating??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am having the same issue. I bought 6 Bahia kelberi and they don't seem to be eating much. I believe it has been about 5 days for me.

Anyone have any input?

A couple of times they slammed some cut tilapia and chewed and spit it. Was it too big? Can I add anything to it to make it more appealing?

Fish have to get used to tilapia from my experience. Idk if its a different texture or something about it? I've had best luck getting picky eaters off feeders with small shrimp pieces or cut silversides...

From your pic your bass look to be in the 6-7" range... If they are that size Give them a lot of feeders 1x per week to keep them fat, then the other 6 days offer shrimp or cut silversides. If they are smaller than 6" you'll want to feed them feeders 2x per week (example Sunday and wens) you don't want want them to become stunted or unhealthy but you want them hungry to try other things

Feeders are pointless when the bass had been slamming whole massivore before he picked them up. They had been in my possession for several weeks before they left and in that time massivore was their pellet of choice.
