Hello i have been toying with the idea of adding a jardini arowana to my tank of pbass, and i have read alot of negative about jardini with there aggression. Basically i would like to have one but not at the expense of my Peacock bass, but jardini is the only type of aro that i like??? what should i do?

I had an 8" jar with two azuls and an orino at about the same size. The pbass beat the jar... I have seen it work though. Or the Jar could beat the pbass. If you're set on a jar, get one about the same size as your pbass and keep a close eye on agression. If you just want an aro and aren't set on a jar, get a silver.

yeah my buddy has a silver with his pbass and clown knife, i just like the way the jar look in comparison. but thank you for the advice i just dont want to buy one for the money they cost and then have to get rid of it...

its either the jardini or a royal clown knife... im kinda torn because i like clown knifes more especially royals but jardinis just intrigue me... but i want safety for my pbass first

i say get the clown becasue it will be less aggression. good luck with this.

thanks man lol i am very torn with what to do i think royals dont get as big as regular clown so i shoudl be ok with size... i just dont wnt a 3' fish in my tank thats not a pet that a exhibit at mystic aquarium lol

I want to do the same thing. Would a 180 gallon work for 2-3 peacocks and an arowana?

i would say two mono or ocell and a blue or jardini cause silver get pretty damn huge

no that is way to small you need at least a 9x3x2 3x the leght of the bigest fish 1x for the with and 2feet for hieght.

yeah I like the jars anyway, but am worried about the agression. I would rather have a tank with several peacocks than a tank with one jar though.
