Has anybody every kept adult peacocks and adult wolf(dovii)together?


do peacock bass have to be kept in a school of 3 or more? do they have teeth like dovii that will scratch the insides of an acrylic tank, like a angry wall smacking wolf?

P-bass are not really "bully" type of fish like a dovii

They are more your smaller than me I will swallow you whole type of fish

It would be highly unlikely the two could live together for any extended amount of time

mouth and tooth structure very similar to a bass hence the common name

they feel comfortable in groups.
but it is not nessecary.

No they don't "need" to be but one of the more rewarding parts of keeping them is witnessing the hierarchy that forms and how they fall into line with little to no real violence.

I would keep at least 2 or 3 depending on tank space but that's just me

what is the biggest species in the wild, and are they common?

what's that one that has alot of red and orange and is like 2feet?

temensis will get the largest

Monos followed by Ocel are most common

In order of how common the diff species are to find

Mono,ocel,temensis,orino,azul,intermedia

wild monos can also be difficult to locate

This is just what I see available I am sure others may disagree or have a diff order

Get 3 or 4. Monos and occelaris are the easiest to come by, tems are the biggest. DO you have at least an 8' tank?
