Here are a couple different pics of some bat rays that I caught off a pier after fishing all day for halibut on my boat. They call these things mud marlin since they put up such a great fight.

why's he gotta be from norcal jus cuz he caught a batray? the coast does go along the entire side of cali. we catch those all day long here in SD. the bigger, the more fun to catch. i fought one for about an hour off fairy landing in caronado island.
