S.E.A
I thought Batfish (Platex Tiera) are more likely found near Australia. I picked up a juvenile in waist-deep water off the coast here. Attached is a pic of the guy in quarantine... Apologies for the bad pic, the camera kept focusing on the glass instead...

He readily accepts pellets and flakes and loves the frozen mysis shrimp and blood worms. Eats until you can see him get all bloated. He's now at 5 inches high. Can't wait for my new tank to come in, measurements are 4ft long by 3ft deep by 3ft high. Enough living space?

4x3x3 isn't enough for it to live all of it's life, they really fill out once they get older, getting about 1-1.5' if the 4 was a 6 or more it would be fine.

Hey thanks... Well if he gets wayyy too big, I'll just have to invest in a bigger tank now won't I? Or should I drop him back where I found him?

I caught this guy with bare hands and brought him home in a juice bottle. It was doing sideways swirls among floating seaweed so the initial thought was that it wouldn't make it. But after chomping on my baby mollies I guess he got better.

So another question, are they native to S.E.A or did I pick up someone's flushie?
