x2 Breaks my heart to see rays having to rest on such large gravel. She's a beauty but hope you switch to sand or a really fine natural gravel. Just my 2 cents.

We had a bad experience with sand in our 400 gallon pond and we have had rays on gravel for many years with no problem. She buries herself and moves around on it with no problems. Thanks for the input though.

Thanks for the compliments on batgirl and her tankmates. We actually have had synodontis decorus for about 9 years. We had 3 that were 12+ inches. Sold one and then our oldest on died a month or so ago (She was one of our first fish purchases and was full grown when we got her 9 years ago, hard telling how old she really was). We still have a huge one in the pond with the big rays. Just picked up these 2 little guys to go in with batgirl.
