Since a couple of members have been showing off their salties lately i thought I would do the same..

This is Batman, My Pterois volitans or Volitans lionfish. Please excuse the name, that was all my girlfriends doing. I must admit it fits him nicely. We keep this guy well fed and he has to be the most chilled out fish I have ever come across. He doesnt move at all so the pictures come out great.
He hand feeds and you can pet him, although i dont think that you would want to so all that.. thanks for looking.

would loveone...bu too scared id kill it

Most of the larger growing marines are actually very easy to care for.. i wouldnt say they are any harder to take care of then any of the fresh water fish, they just need different things.. When you get itno the smaller fish is when you have to be real careful about your tank, but a large grouper or trigger is simple stuff..

nice lionfish, that was my first saltwater fish when I dabbled in marine 4 or 5 years ago

Nice LION ive been wanting one for a while. I have a tank just sitting there with no stand that i could use for one too. Nice shots too! what camera?

If I were to do SW, it'd be for one of these guys.
Awesome shots.
