Been out of fishkeeping for a few years, but have just got back into it and set up new aquarium. Looking to home a few cichlids and one or two cats. Plenty of room, just need to fill it!:)

I've got the opportunity to pick up a 3" Bay Snook. Done some reading on them and would be interested to hear husbandry and tank mate views from existing keepers.

Thanks

Monster mouth, monster apetite good with tank mates that wont fit in there mouth. They are fun to watch eat they smash the top of the water pretty hard. As far as husbandry goes there an easy fish to keep lots of food, clean water and big tank as they get pretty dam big and swim fast. There jaws are somewhat fragile I noticed.

not mine but good example of a male green

Thanks for posting. What food items does yours take? Also, what have you housed with yours, if anything? Thanks.

You can pretty much house them with anything that wont beat up on them severely (not sayin there pussies a lfs had a 6" male that was a glass banger lol) or fit in there mouth lol they are good community fish. As for food mine wasnt to fussy ate nls large fish formula, fd krill, carnivore sticks and the odd piece of shrimp. If you buy one you wont regret it just be ready to house a big fish males can get up to 19-20"
