I have BBA and I'm well aware of that. The look of it doesn't bother me. I keep it in check by manual removal, and they lights are on 4-5 hours a day. (not intense lighting at all) Just wondering if the algae that is picked off by my silver dollars and not eaten but spit out into the rest of the tank, is the BBA dead at that point or still living? Basically the spit out BBA gathers in the dead area flow in the back corner of the tank and want to make sure it is not rotting in my water.

If they are black or green then they are still very alive.

If they are white they they are dead.
