These 4 were born a month or so ago, very small. Sorry for odd lighting in the photos. Unfortunately, lost two of them in the first few days, they never had much movement or activity. The other two are healthy and active, feeding on everything. Father is a really nice BD mom is a classic leo.
Considering retiring the mom from breeding. She is at least 12 years old from what I know about her history. She's bred for years and has had weak and small pups recently. Her litter sizes greatly diminished. I've cut her back to breeding once every 12 months last 2 cycles (they would constantly breed if I let them). She just doesn't bounce back after the birth the way she used to. She took a feeding break for over week after this birth, been agonizingly slow and lethargic. About 5 weeks later and she seems fully recovered, but I worry about the stress. We will reconsider things again this time next year but she will likely live the rest of her life in peace, in the absence of the rowdy boys
Two boys two girls. Very little pups, one pair remains.
Had some other pups last week with a different pair another thread coming
