BD stingray , help please not sure if it a diseases

Tank size : 220 gal as of now
Ammonia : 0pm
Nitrate : 0pm
Ph : around 6.5-7
Food : Blood worms , shrimp and meat worms
Tank mates : none
Number of rays : 4 ( 1 M , 3F )
Feeding : 1 time everyday

i had them for about a month now , as of now they are eating, playing , don't seem to have anything is wrong with them . i change 1/3 of water every week . they seem to have some white dots/ spots ( look a like ) on top of them, you have to look really carefully to see them ,not sure what is it and if its a diseases please help me out here .pictures are below thank you very much

Great looking rays. If your rays are eating you probably don't have anything to worry about. I've heard of white spots developing for no apparent reason and eventually disappearing over time with no ill effects. As long as your rays are eating and active you're probably ok. Keep the water clean and keep an eye on it.

I would suggest doing larger volume water changes. 33% in a 220 gallon with 4 rays is going to build up waste and cause problems in short time.

Also your nitrates can't really only be zero? Are you certain? Not an old test kit? what are your nitrites? Perhaps they are zero?

i m certain its zero , i have a filter that feeds off just nitrates

Sorry for the derail and lack of concern for ur rays S shao . Could you share some info and post about this in the filtration section. If it’s zero then some member me would like see and hear about this kind of filtration.

Seen this many times over the years, i have talked to others about it too. I believe it is a reaction to some kind of stress.
