BD swallowing problem

Have you gone down your checklist of everything else and eliminated other possibilities? Looks like you're barebottom so that eliminates the hidden barb possibility. You're confident he recently shed a stinger barb?

I've heard of anesthesia, ray belly up, and pliers to try and pull it out if you can see it through the mouth in the pharnyx.

I can't see it from the tank. Will it digest soon?
 
If he truly swallowed a barb, it will not digest. It will remain lodged, possibly working further down the digestive tract. Or hopefully until he "coughs" it out or you can somehow remove it. This is difficult situation. The problem is, it's barbed. It is desiged to only travel in one direction.

That's sad I will try to dig down the filter first the get him out to look on his mouth thanks for your help
 
I have tried to get him out unfortunately I can't see any barb around the mouth his still eating but not the same as before the incident I guess it went all the way down there is no swollen in abdomen hopefully he can recover
