Hi all i am sure this has been asked before but i need some help. I have noticed what looks to be a bight or nick from my clown loach which i have now relocated on my rays tail as seen in pictures i have dosed the tank with api salt is there anything else you all suggest ? please help so worried

Tank Size : 120 Gallon

Readings : Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 30-40

Breed : BDxPearl

Sex : Male

Size : 7-8 inch

Future tank in 2 months : 5ft Long 3ft Width 2ft High

Nitrates in my area out of tap are high and the ray has been breed from a great breeder whom has always used birmingham tap water which is the hardest and highest nitrate water in country so wont be affected to much by 30-40 i dont think.

Any help suggestions much appreciated thank you

That doesn't look bad to me. Often times rays tails become shortened by bites or rubbing on something. They heel up well so long as you keep water parameters good. If it's eating I wouldn't be terribly concerned. That's just me. I hope I'm right.

should not be a problem, I have had worse. My situation was pike nibble on the tail.. after a few weeks its gone

Should be fine, if you start to see some fuzz at the end, put in some pimafix. Should clear up

agree with all the ray gurus above, that looks to be alright, just keep an eye on it.
