Be careful when acclimating rays

I was scooping out the dirty water during acclimation and my mind was somewhere else. All of a sudden, i felt a fast thwack at the cup ( cd-r spindle cover) that i am using to scoop the water out.

Before realizing what just happened, ray took another shot using its stinger at my cup!! I was just lucky that it wasnt my fingers that was hit ... Anyways, this is just a\
reminder to keep your eyes, hands and Mind on the ray whenever you are contact with it.
 
I know. It was fast... cup got tagged before i even realized it.

Just want to warn current ray keepers and would be ones.

i got stung by a 3" hystrix a year ago
just a nick.. put hand in hott water and i was fine
 
They are very fast and yeah ,accurate. I was talking to one of George Fear's employee
couple of mos ago that gut stung real bad. He was chatting up with a customer while
netting out a ray. He got stung real deep as a result. He said he was crying like a baby
and his arms was as big as his thighs. LOL ..

Yeah.. eating well on blackworms right now. Just finished 2 cups of it.
Trying to pump the guy up before teaching it to eat nightcrawlers and shrimp.
