when i was putting salt in my tank one day i did it to quickly and accidently dropped it right on my clown loaches eye and it JUMPED OUT OF THE TANK:WHOA:. i was petty shocked because i had never heard of any jumping clown loaches. it died.:(. so make sure you drop it in a place where there arent any fish.

wow that's a bummer kinda of a freakish bad luck thing, sorry to hear that. Do you dissolve the sal first?

well i do dissolve the salt now! i wish it didnt happen but it did and life goes on(for me). i got a new cloan loach and its doing well, and growing quickly but i still liked my old one better. heres a pic of the little guy before he "jumped ship"

yeah takes a while for the next one to surpass the first but someday. good luck with the loach:)

thanks. once i get a bigger tank i might want to get another, theyre great fish.

I pour the scoop into a beer pitcher i accidentally stole from a local bar a while ago(long, dirty, horrible story) and then fill it with warm water, and get the salt mixed in with the pitcher water. just use warm water and you won't even see the salt crystals.
