Dont forget to get a battery powered air pump! They have them in walmart in the fishing bait isle.

I ran and got one last minute at 0500 in the morning when the power was already out just in time as the fish were at the surface gasping !!!

I also hear oxygen tabs can work for this too.

we had a bad ice storm 12-9-07 and I lost about 95% of my fish and corals, we had lost power for over a week.

lucky me, I haven't had a power outage all yea, But i'm in AUS. I think they trimmed all the trees around the power line.

i feel pretty safe here our winter has been real mild up here in michigan so far,2 days ago it was over 40degrees outside!

They are only 10$ thru 30$ its not a bad insurance policy for that price, think about how much your fish cost and how quickly they would suffocate ???

not to scare anybody, but mine stays hangin on the back of the tank and if im not home, the neighbors can hit the switch for me if the lectricity dies.
