beach sand

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Beach sand is mostly calcium carbonate so it'll increase hardness levels easily. It shouldn't hurt if none of your fish is intolerant of the elevated hardness.

it should be good as long az your not trying to breed discus or something

oh alright thanks for the info!! =) oh ya 1 more thing i was planning to put beer bottles in my fish tank to decorate the tank. since its class and i just rinse the bottle really well and then boil it in hot water?

make sure the label comes off good you can get it off by soaking it in hot water

Don't use boiling water. Hot water and salt work just fine.

Yes it will kill bacteria if you boil it, but glass can break from the rapid change of temperature.... Trust me, you don't wanna try it. lol

theres no bacteria you need to worry about thats gunna come off a beer bottle
