Beamworks 72" LED?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have 3, 2 of the 10000k and 1 of the 6500k. The newer models are brighter and higher output. I grew anubius and Java fern really well with the 6500k but it looks pretty yellowish, I balanced it out with the 10000k.

Yellow as in too much light? I thought 10,000k wasn't good for plants?
Just a yellowish tint to the light spectrum, the 10000k balanced it out with a blueish tint. I've read all sorts of different opinions on spectrum, etc. I've since given up on plants in that tank and run the 10000k only because my silver dollars grew out and mowed everything down. I run a seperate planted tank off of my sump now with dual t5's instead. That tank only has a couple SAE and a L114 pleco. I have pothos starting up top.

I used 2 48" for about 4 years before replacing them. They still functioned but became noticeably dim the last 6 months of use, Tried swapping out power cords in case that was it but I guess something in both of them just slowly started to fail. For the price though they were very nice for four solid years of use.
