lately about a week the beani cichlid has not been eating....before it was a pig...checked the temp and its good at 82 degrees....right now he's not so active...just here and there...wondering whats wrong and what i can do...haven't done a water change in two weeks...help me out

How big is he? how big is the tank? what are his tank mates?

First thing id do is run parameter tests and make sure your levels are in check, do a 50% water change (every week) and make sure the waters temp is as close to the tank water as possible when doing the change.

I would just leave it alone and not worry about it. If you start messing with the tank too much it might stress it out even more. Sometimes fish just decide ther not hungry. Are there in visible problems with the fish like loss of color?

I can guarantee its bloat. I have been able to raise any fish out there and have. But the Beani is my nemesis. I can not for the life of me, keep them from getting bloat. Labs have the same issues, but I have never had issues with them. JUST BEANI!!!!!!!!!!! good luck. I have gone through about a dozen in the last 5 months or so. I gave up on them. :(

5" in a 65 gallon with no tankmates. I know that they are prone to bloat but its not showing ne signs of it unless u consider loss of appetite and hiding behind driftwood. Its body shape looks normal n belly is slim from not eating. Color is yellow. Dont wanna stress it either. Will try the salt n c if that works

Those are possible signs of bloat. The actual bloated stomach is usually the last symptom and by then it's usually too late. Last time I saw beani they were in a tank at my LFS, dying from bloat.

See what happens after a water change.
