it's just nice to see two of the top five or ten 'meanies' interacting.

NO way I'd risk any damage to two of my most valuable fish. I kept some smaller cichlids with the haitiensis before. He whooped on them pretty bad but got one of his trailer fins nipped a little. That alone was too much for me!

Nice video. I have a female beani 6.5" and a male hait 6". i dropped them in a 125 together a month ago to see how they would do together. they started doin the male/female dance. the female came out a lil more doniment then they just left eachother alone. so i put divider up and left them. so nothing would happen when i went to work.

Yeah, the Haitiensis is now responding to a young female hait in that tank now... I think he does recognize the beani as a female of his species. Odd and interesting!
