hey folks i have an adult female beardei shes about 2-3 years old great eater but she doesnt gain any weight and is really skinngy

i feed her superworms and lettuce every dday and she doesnt gain any weight yet her sister who gets the same diet smae age same size is a cow anyone have tips on how to get her to gasin some weight thanks

They should have a wider variety in the diet. I know you say the one is good and thats not why I think your bad one is skinny, just something I noticed, mix it up a bit more and are you using supplements? What does the waste look like from the skinny one, it could have pin worms or something and it will spread to the other one soon, you need to look into that because I lost a couple a long time ago from not knowing thats what was wrong and waiting too long. Does this one still eat and drink a lot? If so then I think it could be a parasite which you can treat. Are you sure on their sex, the fat one could be a male and bully the other one of the heat zone stressing it out and not letting it get all the heat it needs to digest well. Could be a lot of things but if you can answer some of this it would be cool.

i do use suppleent and im positvie there both females the skinny ones stools look completly normal and she eats and drinks fine about once a week to every other week i give them a mix of squashed bananas and apples and mealworms pelleted food and calcium supplements

Not a beardie expert but beardies need more greens in thier diet like mustard and collard.

I also have three beardies and can only find parsley to feed them as I live in a small town. I have read that lettuce doesn't do much for Beardies as it is mostly water and doesn't have much food value. I also feed carrots dusted with calcium powder and sometimes vitamins. I also feed superworms twice a week.

One of my beardies is also skinny but seems healthy otherwise. It likes to sit above the tank on the glass brace and doesn't get much heat. You would think that they would instinctively seek the warm section (90 degrees) instead of the cold glass. I guess the instinct to climb is greater.

Do beardies drink? I have a water dish in mine but have never seen them drink. I do mist them everyday and give them a bath once a week. Perhaps your beardie (and mine) is a little dehydrated?

how bigs the set up, what is it
what are the temps, basking, warm side and cool side
how long have you had him
where did you get him
are those the only things you feed him
do the two live together
how old are they
what diet were they on before you got them
any worms
how much do they eat when you feed them

ditch the lettuce bananas and apple
those are full of things you don't want
try collard, mustard and dandelion greens and for fruit use mango, papaya and blueberries
but don't use too many berries

i have had them about 6 months the cage there in is 5 feet long 3 feet tall and 2 feet deep it gets to about 100 at the basking spot ambient temp on the warm side is about 90 cool side is about 95-80 degrees

i got them from craigslist and i got rid of all the things are bad for them

You can also give them dandilions, wich you grow. You can find this weed almost in any place on earth.

I have a very fat, happy, and healthy beardie, and here are some of he things he eats fruit-wise...

Apples
Apricots
Peaches
Bananas
Mangos
Necterines
Plums
Cherries
Papaya
Blueberries
Strawberries
Pears
Watermelon
Cantelope
Honeydew melon
Casaba melon
Pumpkin not really a fruit it's a squash

Collard greens, mustard greens

For protein, he gets giant mealworms...and twice a week a single waxworm as a treat. If she is older, she shouldnt need as much protein. You can try Dubia Roachs to fatten her up a bit...but other than that doesnt sound like she was feed right growing up. Also...NEVER ICEBERG LETTUCE...it is useless for all reptiles...no nutritional value whatsoever...
