im moving my juvinile bearded to my 55g tank
i wanted to add another bearded
but turns out ive got a male
if i get a female will they fight?
should i just not get another one?
or will it work?

depends on the individual dragon. some will tolerate others and others wont.

also if you add in a female make sure there is not breeding until they are good an ready. dont want to add to much extra stress.

im not trying to breed them at all
they will be juviniles
will they start breeding right away?
that would be good

no..but since males mature sexually before females it's not a good idea...

females dragons should not breed until at least 16-18 months old.

maybe for a few months. but as soon as your male gets a little older he will have one thing on his mind:nilly:.

so i would be real careful if you decide to do it. and have an extra tank already set up in case it doesnt work out.

ya it happens to all of us lol
thanks guys

I think it will be fine temp, but the tank is too small or I should say too narrow for two adult beardies. You dont have to worry about them breeding at this point.

Yeah don't put males with females.Once mature most males will constantly harrass the females,it gets quite annoying. The females won't want to be around males when they're acting like that, they'll just want to get the **** out of cage, except for when it's breeding season. That's the other thing that the guys were saying too is you'll have uncrontrolable breeding if they're together. You can't control the breeding when the males are in the same enclosure with the females.

If you want to have more than one beardie then the best thing to do is sell your male and buy some females. You can put as many females together as you want,so long as you have the space for them.

55 is waaaaay to small for more then one beardie, and honestly, I think it is too small for even one beardie. Try to grab a used 75 gallon. Even a 40 breeder is better then a 55 (For one beardie)
