My friend gave me her breeding pair of beardies not to long ago with a 6ft long 2ft wide and 4ft tall oak cage for free (great deal) and they have had babies before and have been together for a long time. But lately the female has been really aggressive with the male and is constantly attacking him. When I first got them they were getting along fine. Anyone have any helpful tips to help keep the peace and any ideas of why this might have happened in the first place?

Yeah I'm definitely positive which one is which because I saw the male try to breed with the female once and I saw his little lizard package.

There both the same size, the only thing that's really different besides there colors is age. I think the male might be older because the spikes on his head are pretty worn down. I just feel bad for the poor chap because his tail is covered with bites, she only attacks his tail tho. And there cage is huge and has branches everywhere to climb, its not like there constantly ontop of each other. They always have a big salad and fresh water and once or twice a week they get to binge on crickets and superworms...

You should defenetly put them apart considering what your telling us or at the very least divide the cage in 2
