Bearded dragon set-up question

Yes but not for life. Since bearded dragons grow rather quickly, I would recommend a full size home for anything a foot long. Problem with smaller tanks/cages is that the animal does not have very far to thermoregulate, in this case, it may always be too hot. You will need to use a mercury vaporbulb or a very elevated basking area because no UVB bulb reaches down 21 inches.

How big is your dragon now?

A 75 4'x18" is a good forever home especially if you add a multi level addition which can easily and cheaply be done with slate rock.

Try to get it on greens like beans and Collards, my beardy is 2' and 13+ years old and I believe veggies aided to this happy healthy life span:http://monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508677

Don't have a beardie yet. I have been thinking about getting one. I have had this new 45 gal. empty for about 2 years and was using it as a temporary home for a juvie.

I have a tank that was too tall for the uv light so i just used a wire hanger and made hooks so it hangs lower inside the cage..and my 45watt flood light gives the right basking temp at around 20-21in. (hanging above the tank, not sitting on a screen)
