Yes they are a favorite of people here as well.
That reminds me of a video I saw on Instagram earlier today in which a tree sloth was trying to crawl across a busy road until a motorcyclist stopped to carry it to the other side.
I wish we had sloths over here,

I've stopped to move snakes and turtles from the road multiple times , good job!
Every once in a while they move from tree to tree, they are very vulnerable at this time
Indeed they are.....this one must have set it's sights on a tree on the other side of the road.
