I have had my bearded dragon since he was a whopping 2" long and has developed into a 17" baby. But starting last fall he has started to slow way down on his feeding and has lost a little bit of weight and muscle mass from his legs. I was wondering what might cause this, I don't think it would have been from where I left for college and my parents took care of him would it?

Sounds like he was not getting fed enough or allowed to soak. How long ago did you leave him with your parents?
Could you provide some more information?
Tank size, temps, type of lights, feeding schedule, what's getting feed to him...
