My female layed 10 eggs last night and buried them. I know how to do a DIY incubator(youtube). My question is how long do i have until i need to get them in the incubator. I need to get the materials for the incubator so it may take until this evening to buy and assemble the incubator. How can i be sure they are fertile(candling?) so im not wasting my time with unfertile eggs.

Thanks in advance..

Candling should work, but you would need to know what to look for.

and that would be?

I've never hatched bearded dragon eggs before but I have made plenty of homemade incubators to hatch various lizard and turtle species. I've made them from simple items like styrofoam coolers, plastic tubs and old aquariums. You can also use small chicken incubators too. I'm not too sure what the requirements for incubating the eggs (temp/humidity) so you'll have to read up on that. Have you moved the eggs yet?

Yep, moved them into a tubberware thingy with vermic, was careful not to turn /rotate them and placed them back into the tank. The research i did, i think i need to make a more stable incubator but this should do for now..all params should be ok with the vermic for humidity and the tank temp. I will definately look into DIY incubator for a more stable enviroment for the eggs in the future...
