Hi all
I am gettig a beardie soon and would like to know if they need a uvb light if you give them calcium in a dishas I have read many debates on this
I hav also read on many sites that they are neccessary and many that they will do just fine without a uvb light
and also could someone give me a list of supplies to get and I am bulding my own viv measuring 44"x24"x18"

they definately need UVB lighting, and vitamin supplements.

i never used a uvb with my beardie and he lived for a long time i just made sure i used supplements

Yup Been a little busy but I'm back

On another note,

Bearded Dragons need it. Good for you if you kept ONE (I'll say again, one) without it and it SURVIVED.

But I can promise you without it your bearded dragon didn't have the best life it could have had if you had given him the option to it. Aand he wouldn't of thrived

And I don't know why you were giving him supplements, animals that require UV etc can't convert calcium etc without VD3 (from UV bulbs).

Yep definately need a UV tube and vitamins dusted onto their foods,
