On the Rio Araguaia, I wish...
Got a new resident for my pond last night 20-22" Lima Shovelnose!

This is without a doubt the single largest Lima I have ever seen anywhere, never seen pics of one this big online or seen any close to this size in an aquarium either private or public aquariums. It is HUGE! I've heard of one member who had some this size in the 50k gallon tank at one point but I think they are the only ones with Lima's this big at any time to my knowledge. Better pics to come later this week. ~Trent

wow ive only seen em around 12-14"at there max size
nice pick up!

I hope it will be safe in your tank, now that your TSN has a "taste" for Lima!

It will take that TSN well over a year before it could eat this Lima. The Lima is in the 1100 gallon pond with my Planiceps so it isn't even sharing a tank right now with the TSN however I am moving the TSN to the pond shortly. Its almost as big in girth as the TSN and maybe a inch or two longer ~Trent

i wonder how they got it to be this size in a year? my guess is roids!!
ok probably not just big feedings daily...
btw nice pick up can't wait to see some more pics!!

Nice beast. Guess it's time to increase the feedings for mine.
