thats a cigar shark (barbus hoeveinni) it is young but they will reach 20 inches plus and could easily hold its own as an adult but definately need to be seperated now.

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a sickness before I moved it to a different tank and possibly contaminate another tank. I've never seen any aggressive towards this fish that's why I didn't know.

Make sure you monitor for disease. Now that he is beat up he will be more susceptible.
