So on halloween a man took his kids trick or treating and saw my 120 gallon in the kitchen. He asked my grandpa if he could take some fish and he told him to come back tomorrow when i was home. he came the next day and said he had a green severum, a jack dempsey, an upside down catfish, and an oscar in a 10 gallon. they used to be in a 75 but i dont know what happened. anyway i bought the jd and sev since i had tanks appropriate for them. the sev is really beat up. its fins are shreded and some scales are missing. he also has red spots on his body. Luckily the jd looks pretty good. Just a couple nips in her? Tail. Is there anything I should do other than water changes? They're currently in a 62liter plastic tuberware with an ac50. They're doing really well so far together.

Cichlids are very hardy add salt an raise the temp to about 83 keep an eye on the red dots but they should be fine.

Should i move the jd out once he gets better or move them both out at the same time? The jd is gonna get better before the severum.

There is now a slimy substance where the missing scales are. Is this the malafix or is it some kind of fungus i need to treat?
