Beaten up fish help.

Ok so I have a beaten up white top afra, so I put him in a 10 gallon quarantine tank and he survived over night but I tried giving him some food this morning and he won't eat it any help?.

Just give him some time to recover in the quarantine tank, this kind of stuff happens a lot when keeping african cichlids. Treat with api melafix and he will be fine. After all would you be hungry after getting your ass handed to?

I have had great luck with aquarium salt and water changes, no food for a few days, give him a cave to hide in and feel secure.
