I thought I'd post a few pics of my African Hybrid cichlid, seems how I never really talk about him.
He is a cross between a Yellow Lab Cichlid and a Red Zebra Cichlid and is very aggressive. He constantly picks at my Common Oscar, and any other Cichlid or fish that is put into the tank with him. I have raised him for the past two years, watching him grow and get more colorful. His father was a Red Zebra, and sadly died from what looked like a seizure. And I found the Yellow Lab mother dead in the 10-Gallon I moved her into, so that no one would eat the fry, along with a lot of dead fry. There were only five left, and one by one they died. The one I have is the only one that made it. He is absolutely stunning, with the body of a Red Zebra, and the coloring of a Yellow Lab, with just a bit more. He has a blue coloring to his fins and face, and very dark black stripes and is about 4-5".
Pics! Sorry about the crappy quality.
He looks much better in person.
