She's still really pale from the plane and car ride, unfortunately. I will post more pics once she is feeling better. The name was going to be, "Snape," but since it is a female I am reconsidering. The next thought was, "Clever," after the scene in Jurassic Park where the sniper calls the raptor, "clever girl." Whatcha think?

Here she is:

Her eyes are striking in person. Like green liquid fire. They have an almost human quality to them.

Cant wait to see how her colors shape up~

Thats blackbeard algae you see on the rocks. I love the way it looks on rocks, but it spreads really quickly. I intentionally brought it into this tank from another, and it has been spreading from rock to rock quickly. Its annoying to get off of plants, but it gives the tank a natural look. I have a ton of houseplant filters on top of the tank now that are not in these pictures--too many, in fact. Theyre eating up all the amonia and nitrates my aquatic plants want. Overfiltering can be an issue in a planted tank.

All in all, the tank still needs some work--I have a diy polystyrene background Im wrapping up, and I need to buy a co2 system so I can add more plants--tall ones.

Thanks man! Once the rock wall gets put in, things should be looking pretty solid. It should be done by now but life got all savage on me last weekend/week.
