Beef heart for arowana

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Off topic but how do we prepare beef heart ?
Do we just buy a big piece then cut and throw in ?
Is there any procedures to make it safe for aro ?

i would personally not go for beat heart because it can be risky..you can go for fresh fish fillets..shrimps etc as an alternative to beef heart they are equally good and will promote growth and health but use them as an occasional treat for your aro not as a staple diet...hope this helps

Yo feed beef heart you just chop up small pieces of beef heart and put it in
Btw it doesn't foul water as long as the beef heart is good

Do not feed beef heart. Think of the natural menu of an arowana. Beef-heart is red meat. Are they eating cows in the wild? I think not. It also fouls up the water. As for being a good source of nutrition for them, it might be in small amounts, but there are other things (like prawns, krill, any kind of shrimp) that are MUCH better. And being good for growth, that I don't understand. I don't think I've ever heard of people suggesting foods to get arowanas to grow faster, and that is because there is no need. If a young arowana is fed well, it will grow easily 2-3" in a month.
