I do feed mine occasionally with beef heart. But I purchased from my fish shop, dont think those meat are cooked. Thinka should be pre-processed to remove bact or parasite for fish consumption.

You don't cook it.its fed raw simply remove any fat you can cut it into strips and feed-Anne

Why do people always ask this question? I guess we are just too use to cooking our food. In the wild, nothing your little monsters would come accross would ever be steamed, boiled, baked, or grilled. LMAO. Therein lies the answer - wash it down to remove any trace of dyes which sometimes leech into the meat, slice it - or chunk it finely, and feed! Presto!! LOL

Thanks for the infos! i'll i was quite reluctant to feed them raw beef heart without seeking the advice of the pros!

I buy my beef heart at the grocery store, pre-packaged in the meat section! Take it home, rinse it good, cut off excess fat, and then chunk it in 1/4" pieces! Then I freeze it in a tupperware container. When I need some I just break off a few chunks and feed it! It stays good in the freezer like this for several months! Hope this helps?
