I got some beef liver today to feed to my fish. I was wondering if anyone else may be doing this? Also I heard someone talking about soaking there food's in some sort of vitamin supplement. Anyone know of a good supplement brand? This is for my shoal of 9 red's. Thanks for any info.

mammilain meat is bad for Ps they arent set up to digest it well. you should be feeding white meat fish. such talapia, catfish, smelt, silversides, scallops and raw shrimp. also mammilian meat and poultry can also really mess with your water parameters.

C'mon bud, don't feed them any liver, you gonna get a really crappy water quality with that. Use beefheart instead, much more cleaner and has no fat in it.

An forget about any vitamin suplement, that's bullsh....t . As long as you vary your P's diet you not gonna need any crappy "vitamin suplement":screwy:

Feed them 80 % of their diet based on sea food like fish fillet, cod fish, shrimps, tilapia, mussels and squid and the restant 20% you can fed them beefheart and chicken. If you get them to eat pellets it would be good to make their diet more complete.

If you want to feed them life feeders you just be careful the feeders aren't sick otherwise you'll end up with sick piranha and even experioence some casualties.

Cheers.
