You really shouldn't feet meat from a mammal. They don't digest it properly.

I would say no its not something they digest fully, but I know a lot of people do and will tell you their fish are none the worse for it.

I think beef hearts come from mammals. Even Jack Wattley, the father of Discus breeding has decided that it is not good for fish. He was the person that originally popularized beef heart as fish food.

obviously don't feed beef hearts in large amounts. They do "so called" increase growth rates in alot of fish. I don't do it. I feed my mine a fish fillet and pellet diet.
