I want my jevi fire eels to be bit more round and plump. Currently on blood worms. Tried shrimp pellet without any luck.

Any suggestions what to feed them to make them more round and beefed up ?

Earthworms and black worms.

I find with my tire tracks it could be male/female that gives them a thin/male or thick/female look... both eat the same amount and same food... one is just much more thick Nd round than the other

In the past I’ve kept black spot, yellow spiny and tire track but this should apply. They seem to gravitate towards worms especially. Black, blood even earth worms I’d collect off the driveway in the rain. The only thing I’d feed that they’d accept with any amount of excitement was frozen salad shrimp. The smallest ones I could find in the grocery store. Once they were big enough to eat those they shot up in size! Girth too! That in combination with the frozen worm diet and some pellets on occasion has been really successful in the health and size of my eels.

Hope this helps!

You got yours on pellets? Mine just watch the pellets fall and look at me like "wtf is this"

Mine are on blood worms mainly. Recently it rained and I took advantage and dug up earthworms. And they devoured those like crazy. Massivore is the next step as a matter of fact any meaty pellet let's see how it goes. Currently they are not interested in pellets

This is the path I will be taking. I have tiretrack and yellow spiny, these two no issues they are good in size but my two juvenile fire eels I am little concerned.
