What did I do after leaving MFK and the fish hobby almost 4 years ago?

I'm back now with a few Parachromis growouts, although my fish photography isn't anywhere near as good...

Haha nah no such thing. I've certainly been bitten before and it had nothing to do with being scared. Not all species are as receptive to being handled, and some are actually quite dangerous. In fact the one in the pictures here is from the Poecilotheria genus, one of the most venomous of tarantulas, one bite having put a man into a coma before.

Cheers everyone else for commenting, yeah, can never beat the fishkeeping bug. Just that now I miss the other hobby lol

Is that a Poecilotheria Regalis? One of my favorite Arachnids. I almost bought a Poecilotheria Metallica a few years back but the price was really steep. The "Pokeys" are easily the fastest spiders I have ever seen....they almost seem to teleport. You are definitely braver than I am to handle a Pokey. The only Theraphosid I have handled was a Chaco Golden Knee (Grammastola Aureostriata).....and he was very docile. Great Pics!
