the Office living in the now...
Lucifer is much happier here in his new tank. His scale colors have gotten bolder and his eyes redder.

nice tank and nice fish.
tall tank is great for rhom (I think cuz big ones are found in deep water)
what did you end up using as substrate?
love the stare down between Lucifer and the crawdad. Lucifer is show lots of teeth on the lower jaw. very nice. you need to take some pictures, I need some new wallpapers :)

Thanks JP, Lucifer does like to swim up and down this tank. I do not have great photography skills. I need a new camera with a good flash.

Great looking P :D

BTW do you buy those crayfish or do you catch them yourself... I was going to buy a few thinking they would be cheap and boy was I surprised normally color was around 15 and blue ones were 29 :WHOA:

go to bait shop, they should have them for cheap. I think one of the one I went had them for 30 cents a piece. just need to quarantine them first cuz most of them are caught from the local lakes/streams and last thing you want is parasites from the wild in your tank

I thought about doing something like that or just catching them myself. When I was younger I used to catch a few hundred and cook them, I saved all the blue ones and threw them in a pond a neighbor had... hmmmm I wonder if they survived :)
Would you use some kind of chemicals on them to try to get out any parasites they may have or just let them sit quarantined for a while with just a cycled tank?

some may have anchor worms, then use jungle lab parasite clear I think you need to treat for 3 weeks, can also use prazipro. they treat different things.

.30 cents a piece? holy hell I am getting ripped off:nilly:. I get these guys for .65 cents each here and I will be calling bait shops from now on.
