So I have decided to try salt for the first time and have been collecting pieces and parts for a while.
Biggest question is I have two tanks 130 gal 6' x24" x 18" and a 90 gal 4' x 24" x18" both have africans in them rite now but they will be together some day. 5 in one,3 in another and 25 in a grow out tank(babies).
Parts:
Pro clear wet/dry 150 with skimmer plus bio balls for now
2 Koralia 3 850 gph
1 Koralia 2 600 gph
200 watt and 150 watt heaters
Older light fixtures not sure what bulbs they take
DIY 1" pvc over fill with aqua lifter pump works great
Rio 2500 1000GPH @ zero head
I really like doing they DIY so I plan on makeing some imitation live rock and curing it while I collect what im misssing.
Q's What tank? im leaning toward the 90 because of the size of my sump. But I dont know if my power heads are to powerfull,plus it would be less live rock and sand to buy.
Im not sure whats up with my skimmer I think all the parts are there.Hopefully a maxi jet 1200 will work for now. I know its not the greatest but I already have it so its going to have to work for now.
My plan is to have two show tanks 1 peacock african and 1 marine with clown fish,tang and low maitnance coral or plants.
I also have boxes and bins of extra parts.
