Hey everyone, I've been here a few days now and responded to a few posts where I knew something, which isn't much being that I've never fully gotten into my aquariums until now. I have had a Tiger Oscar, Midas, Jack Dempsey, and Fire mouths in the past but they were just to have I didn't get all into them. I currently have an 85gallon tank I picked up for $30 of c-list to expand my current collection. Prior to the new tank I had two vieja symposium (i think is what they are called) a convict and a jewel, but once the tank got bigger I felt more was needed (the gf wanted to have something also)...
She wanted to buy right away with no questions asked, of the clerk or myself, but I convinced her to hold off and do some shopping around with me. We eventually agreed on a "Green Terror", another Jewel and some Danios, the top of the tank needed life. This setup has been up and running for two months now and everyone appears to be doing just fine with each other, although the convict has been a little testy lately and guarding of a cave...
