



IMO, waste of time. Not much surface area. For large filters, you'd be better off getting unused floor stripper pads and cutting them into pizza wedges. They're coarse polyetylene and have high compression rates as compared torigid pond filter materials. But, at much lower prices.

For smaller filters, pot scrubbies will provide more surfae area than many of the available bio-balls on the market.
