been thinking of adding some more triggers

my current stock is as follows

1x niger trigger
2x ocell clown (mated pair)
1x 3 line damsel
1x blue damsel
1x yellow tang
1x blue hipp. tang
1x dwarf coral beauty angel
1x yellowhead sleeper golby
3x scooter blenny

i would like to add

1x black
2x blue jaw (male/female)
1x clown
1x pinktail

maybe a few other smaller triggers...

i am just concerned on the possible agression issues...from what i have been reading aslong as they are not in multiples of the same sp. they should do fine...except the blues jaws can be kept as sexed pairs...is this true?...would a 6'x2'x2' hold them or should it be larger? i know larger is better, but i mean for the mid-long term, maybe a 8'x4' for life or would the 180gal be enough?

i am fasinated by triggers and i need more...

You will see all sorts of sexed trigger pairs being sold on foster and smith's WYSIWYG section...

You can keep multiple triggers, but expect agression. Keep the fish very well fed in a large enough tank and you should get away with it.

Housing a rectangulus and a niger in a 125g right now. Lots of issues to start with, but both are doing good now, and really only nip at each other when there is food involved now.

Just keep an eye on them. I've had a clown trigger, humuhumu, pink tail and blue jaw in a 100 gallon tank and they all got along fine. Every trigger has it's own personality. Good luck.

Good to see another salty on board. That is an awful adventurous stock list, but glad to see it worked out for you. Hoping to have the same success with my two triggers in my 125g.

cool...i have had a clown with my niger, but i did'nt listen to my inner voice...i thought, "i should take the powerhead out till the clown is bigger"...it ended badly...

what size tank would you guys think would get it done...my niger is currently 4"+-...i would like to find simmilar sized tirggers to add...

also my current growout is a 55gal...

Well...Im doing it in a 125g L (6ft). I have big powerheads in...and the triggers love them.

Final tank for multiple triggers (two...MAYBE three if they werent too big) is a 210?

I dunno...its all a shot in the dark. This is my first time raising up multiple triggers as well.

ok thanx, i am tring to get a 3-4" blue jaw male and a 3-4" pinktail right now...i just hope they still have them in a few days when i get some cash...

they are $39.99 for the blue jaw and $29.99 for the pinktail...from what i have seen it seems to be cheaper by $20 each then anywere else i have seen...

Thats good to hear! I had a baby niger in a 29 once, but he was in there for less than a month.
